I will always have a love affair with the radio; as a medium, the power of the voice, broadcasting into the ether, is one that will likely stay with me until my end of days. Even though I’m glad I don’t have to do a weekly radio show anymore, I do feel so honored and fortunate to still be able to record for radio, especially for NPR. All Things Considered turns 40 today and I’ve been listening for at least the last 10 years and as it is, I’ve been contributing for exactly the last four years. I had no idea until I went looking by my very first piece for them (after 2.5 years on Morning Edition) was a review of Feist’s The Reminder.
Happy birthday ATC. Thanks for having me be a tiny part of that family. (And thanks to my longtime editor at NPR, Tom Cole).
keep up the good work in all mediums O-Dub. It’s appreciated out here in the blogosphere and the airwaves.
