David Whitaker: Strip Poker at Caesar’s Palace (Jockey, 196?, 7″)
Whitaker was a British composer but he worked with both English and French artists throughout the ’60s. This 7″/EP shares much in common with a ton of funky mod beat tracks from the late ’60s. To me, this certainly sounds like Whitaker was…ahem…borrowing from “Tramp” (not that I’m mad at this…certainly not the first example of this amongst this particular genre).
