COLLABORATION: IT WASN’T RIGHT

Collab

Collaboration: Forgive Me (Mohawk, 197?, 7″)

Crossover single out of New York.

I don’t know much about this at all except that it’s from New York and the great, late Richard Tee arranged both sides. I can’t find nada on the three vocalists: F. Gibson, C. Jackson and J. Warren or if they ever recorded on another label or under a different name.

I favor the crossover groove of the A-side but the flip is a solid, smooth ballad too. Lyrically though: man, this song’s kind of %#()ed up…guy goes out for a walk and decides, randomly it seems, to cheat on his wife because he’s…too uptight? Girl: don’t forgive him. DTMFA.
