Ferrante & Teicher: Lady Love (UA, 1974, In A Soulful Mood)
Easy-listening album.
Ferrante & Teicher were unquestionably the dynamic duo of the easy listening game. Their LPs litter dollar bins everywhere and while most of them are about as forgettable as you may imagine, I bow down to the utter excellence that is “Lady Love.” No disrespect to Grady Tate but it’s so much better than its source material. No wonder the Dusty Fingers series put this on their very first volume despite it being on an album that’s anything but obscure.
