J.Treds: Praise Due (Fondle ‘Em, 1998, 12″)
Debut(?) 12″ from J.Treds (of the Indelible MCs), released on Fondle ‘Em.
This is one of the Fondle ‘Em releases that I probably copped when it first dropped and then managed to just forget I owned. Finally was digitizing a slew of old stuff and when I needle-dropped onto “Praise Due,” I felt sheepish because I had been enjoying the track on this for years thanks to Big Jack remix of “Moment of Clarity” that’s on the S.Carter Remix Album. Huge shout outs to Supe and Kan for such a great beat, flipping some EW&F (plus killer cuts by Kan too).
